BUZZ

Where I Eat
by James Earl Jones

The simple indulgence of eating a hot dog always makes you feel good. When Gabriel, the character I play in my TV series, gets out of prison, the first thing he does is go to a hot-dog stand. He orders a hot dog, and the vendor asks, "What do you want on it?"  Gabriel is speechless; he can't believe he has a choice. The vendor asks if he wants mustard. He says, "Yes." The vendor asks if he wants onions. He says, "Yes." The vendor asks if he wants everything on it, and Gabriel smiles and says, "Yes." That simple moment -- where you have a choice, where you are able to say you want everything on it -- is a wonderful thing. That kind of freedom is a privilege we should all be thankful for."
